Some More Upcoming Events – 2019

Thursday 14th March – I’m honoured and excited to be talking with Dee Lestari and Laksmi Pamuntjak at the London Book Fair as part of the British Council’s Indonesia Focus, in which writers celebrating the best of Indonesian literature discuss their work. I feel grossly under-qualified, and not a little bit intimidated by the achievements and awesomeness of the visiting writers; it should be grand.

Saturday March 16th – at 7.30 p.m. I’m going to sit down with M.R.Carey at the York Literature Festival to talk about books, comics, stories and hopefully more yodelling (it’s a whole thing) as part of their Speculative Fiction Day. Last time I was at the York Festival they treated us like royalty and had a fantastic range of writers and workshops, so even if you can’t make the speculative day, check it out!

Saturday March 30th – SWIMATHON DAY! Has nothing to do with books, but did I mention you could sponsor me to raise money for cancer research? And that my whole body hurts?

Sunday 9th June – come say hello at Cymera, Scotland’s newest, awesomest SFF book festival! I’ll be talking with Tim Major at 2 p.m., as well as probably sneaking off to my favourite hot chocolate place on the edge of Morningside. Oh the years I have spent doing “important lighting work” instead of flyering at the Edinburgh Festival….
